BARCHIVE / Service information
Refund Policy
Effective 2026-10-12 · Clarifications 2026-10-29
Cancelling stops the next automatic payment; you can keep using your subscription until the paid period ends. Manage Android subscriptions through Google Play and web subscriptions through Paddle. Account deletion and refunds are separate procedures, explained below.
Sections 1–5 apply to Google Play purchases. For web purchases, see “Web billing, cancellation and refunds (Paddle)” below.
1. Cancellation and refunds are different
Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not by itself refund an order already paid, and BARCHIVE PRO normally remains available until the end of the current paid period.
A refund returns all or part of an order through a separate process. If Google Play or the Operator confirms a refund with revocation, BARCHIVE PRO access may end immediately.
2. Start of supply and limits on withdrawal
BARCHIVE PRO features and cloud capacity are supplied as soon as payment is confirmed, and server resources may be consumed by upload and sync. The core functions can be tried on the Free plan beforehand.
Where the legal requirements for limiting withdrawal from digital services have been met and supply has begun, a change-of-mind withdrawal may be restricted.
This does not affect remedies where the Service differs from its description or contract, or any other non-waivable right under applicable law.
Starting to use the Service does not automatically waive withdrawal rights. Restrictions apply only where the legal requirements for restricting withdrawal are met, and only to that extent. Otherwise, you may exercise the rights provided by applicable law.
3. When a refund may be available
Unauthorised or duplicate purchases, purchases by minors requiring guardian consent, failure to provide BARCHIVE PRO, material non-conformity, or a serious outage for which the Operator is responsible may qualify for a refund or other remedy under Google Play policy and applicable law.
For early termination of a continuing contract lasting one month or longer, the amount may be calculated from the actual period used, benefits supplied and any mandatory consumer rules that apply in the user's country.
All other eligibility and amounts follow the Google Play refund policy (https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637) and applicable consumer law.
4. How to request cancellation or a refund
Cancel in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions or from Settings > Plan > Manage subscription.
Request a refund from your Google Play order history, or send the order details and reason through in-app Contact or to [email protected]. Approval and the time for funds to arrive are determined by Google Play and the payment method.
The Operator may review order status, when BARCHIVE PRO supply began, cloud usage and service incident records only to the extent needed to assess the request.
Account deletion removes your sign-in account, plants, growth records, notes, cloud photos, trash and the account’s copies on the current device. Copies exported or kept on other devices must be removed separately. Deleting an account is not a refund request.
Before deletion, we confirm that future Google Play renewals have stopped and that Paddle web subscriptions have been cancelled immediately. Immediate Paddle cancellation ends access for the remaining paid period too. If cancellation cannot be confirmed, we preserve your data and ask you to retry. Past payments are not automatically refunded; you may request a refund separately under the purchase channel’s policy and your statutory rights.
5. Data after a confirmed refund
If Google Play or the Operator confirms a refund with revocation, or a payment is charged back or voided, access from that purchase ends. Other valid Play, Paddle, promotional or other PRO entitlements remain.
If no other valid PRO entitlement remains and the account becomes FREE, new cloud uploads and sync stop immediately. Cloud photos and synced plant, date and note records are kept for 7 days after that change for download and backup only, then permanently deleted. Photo viewing uses device copies and cache first. Photos and local records stored on your device remain independently of this period.
Cancellation stops the next automatic payment. Normal access continues through the paid period. After it ends and the account becomes FREE, cloud copies are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Photos and records stored on your device remain.
If repeated subscribe-refund cycles or temporary use of storage show abuse, the Operator may retain relevant records and restrict re-subscription or access. This does not limit mandatory refund or remedy rights.
Web billing, cancellation and refunds (Paddle)
Cancellation stops the next renewal while paid access continues. Refunds are separate. One paid period is the selected three months or year, not a monthly payment of the displayed monthly equivalent.
Request a refund directly from Paddle using the support link in your receipt or https://paddle.net without prior approval from BARCHIVE. Use an eligible withdrawal option if shown in the customer portal. Report service or billing problems to [email protected]. BARCHIVE does not provide a button that instantly executes a full refund.
Paddle’s Refund Policy provides South Korean consumers an unconditional cancellation and full-refund right requested within seven days of the transaction. Country-specific rights, mandatory remedies and Paddle’s discretionary review may apply. BARCHIVE offers no additional blanket change-of-mind guarantee and imposes no blanket ban or restriction of mandatory rights.
A request, pending review or rejection does not revoke PRO. A confirmed approved full refund or chargeback revokes that transaction’s entitlement, including when approved partial refunds cumulatively cover its full amount. A partial refund alone does not automatically shorten access. Other valid payments, Google Play and promotional entitlements remain. Check separately in the portal whether renewal has also been cancelled.
If no other entitlement remains, the account changes to FREE and new cloud uploads and sync stop immediately. Following a refund that ends access, cloud copies are kept for download and backup for 7 days after that change, then deleted. Cancellation preserves normal access through the paid period; after expiry and the change to FREE, cloud copies are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Photo viewing uses device copies and cache first. Photos and records on the device remain. Account deletion is separate.
Paddle and the payment method determine approval, amount and settlement timing. Approved refunds return to the original payment method. Processing fees are not arbitrarily deducted from mandatory refunds.
